The name derives from the Greek and means “oak”. It is a dry red wine from Nero d’Avola vines whose grapes are carefully selected, nurtured by the fertile land and lulled by the mild climate of Sicily. It gets a 12 months refination in special Allier oak barrels. The wine is an intense ruby red in colour, has a soft texture, elegant tannins and intense aromas of blackberries. It smells of soft herbal bouquet with hints of vanilla and liquorice. A slight hint of herbs accompanies the velvety taste, enriched by soft notes of toasting.
